Asymmetrical Cowl Dress

In Garment on June 19, 2011 at 11:43 PM

this dress is made by printed silk

because the cowl is draped from left shoulder down to right till waist

I want the bottom also has the twist draped texture, but in opposite direction

It will form an interesting shape if the dress is made from organza

which i want to try next time

something I am working on

the theme is called Yin & Yang

I am trying to make a dress that has the feel of contrast and balance

i use silk charmeuse as the base dress and silk chiffon as the lining

the surface decor pieces will be a combination of different fabric

in various shade of red

it’s under construction now. Will update when it’s complete~

i just suddenly want to use non-solid color fabric

so i started looking for the fabric first

this is a cashmere wool, which has a interesting patern color combination

the upper lapel is silk charmeuse

the back is actually cut high up to waistline
